A Conversation with our Archives
April 8th through April 29th
Opening Reception April 8th 3 to 5 pm
(The gallery is open from 12 to 5 Fridays and Saturdays)
The Graphic Arts Workshop pays homage its origins with eight new works created in response to art from our archives. Founded in 1952, for over half a century the workshop has provided printmakers with a venue that not only inspires productivity but also promotes an ongoing exchange of creative ideas and techniques.
A Conversation with our Archives features current workshop members, Melanie Dorson, Alice Gibbons, Eddie Lee, Leslie Lowinger, Sarah Newton, Andrey Semyonov, Toru Sugita, and Karen Towne responding to work by past members, Richard Correll, Louise Gilbert, Adeline Cross Eriksson, Vita Cames, Stanley Koppel, Julia Sheleketinsky, Harold Fontaine, and others.
Please join us at the reception or drop by during gallery hours to enjoy this conversation of imagery past and present.
