Introduction to printing with photopolymer plates

2 Sundays, October 27 and November 3, 2024, 10-4pm, located at the Graphic Arts Workshop

Instructor: Mark Brodie

Dates: April 6 and 13, 10AM-4PM

Class Tuition: $250 (maximum number of participants is 5)

Material fees: $60, which will include 3 photopolymer plates, transparency sheets for

             transferring images, paper, ink, tools, supplies.

Day 1: –      Review a variety of relief and intaglio prints created with photopolymer plates

• Work on ideas for a relief plate, create and print the plate
• Begin generating ideas for creating an intaglio plate
• Print transparencies

Day 2:  –     Demonstrate the double exposure technique utilizing an aquatint screen

• Expose plates, and continue printing
• Class review
